About
Ts. Ng Kuak Ping is the founder of W.S.T Apotheca and the Technical Director of Bionutricia Holding Sdn Bhd, the parent company. He has led nutraceutical product development at Bionutricia continuously since 2006 — almost two decades — and is the named inventor on Malaysian Patent MY188945A (Nutritional Extract Through Biotechnology, granted 2018) as well as a 2023 patent filing covering a liposomal encapsulation method for bioactive compounds — the same delivery class used in W.S.T Apotheca Fortheca’s Liposomal Vitamin C.
Every capsule in the W.S.T Apotheca line — across the cognitive, immune, metabolic, cardiovascular, sleep, skin and joint categories — is formulated under his direct technical oversight, from active selection and standardization specification through to GMP manufacturing, stability protocol and HSA/NPRA regulatory filing.
His formulation philosophy is plain: dose to the clinical evidence, standardize to a marker compound, and never compromise capsule fill weight for stock-balance convenience. That principle is why every W.S.T Apotheca SKU is filled to the maximum 650 mg in Size 00 hard-shell capsules — to deliver clinically meaningful doses in a regimen people will actually take.

Selected research focus
Since establishing the Bionutricia R&D programme in 2013, Ts. Ng has personally led applied research on a range of medicinal plant extracts — including Aesculus hippocastanum, Aloe vera, Astragalus membranaceus, Berberis aristana, Camellia officinalis and Citrus sinensis — in the context of skin-aging mechanisms, anti-oxidative bioactivity and stable delivery systems.
Earlier applied research includes natural-product extraction and cosmetic formulation (Quest International University, 2018), grape and wine phenolic chemistry (Houghton Winery, 2004), and rice processing and texture research under the RICE CRC Summer Research Scholarship at the Cooperative Research Centre for Sustainable Rice Production, Australia (2003).
He has continued formal training through Universiti Putra Malaysia’s Faculty of Food Science and Technology (UPM) since 2014, with the most recent programme in 2023 (Wonders of Functional Foods).
